What the calculator can tell you
The result is a starting range based on the roof area shown in the tool, your material selection, and a roof-pitch assumption. Check the outline carefully: an extra garage, porch, or missing roof plane can change the measured area and the estimate.
A final replacement price needs a defined scope. Valleys, skylights, multiple roof planes, access, tear-off, flashing, ventilation, and hidden decking can change the work. Satellite imagery cannot diagnose those conditions. Kodiak includes the first two plywood sheets in every quote; any additional sheets need their own scope and approval terms. Do I need to know my roof's square footage?
No. Enter your address and the map will show a roof outline you can adjust. Check that it covers the roof you want replaced, including any garage, porch, or addition. If you cannot get a usable outline, the tool lets you request professional measurement.
How does the calculator work out the price range?
It uses the roof area shown on the map, the material you choose for the new roof, and an allowance for roof steepness and installation waste. If satellite data already measures the sloped roof surface, the tool does not add another steepness adjustment. It shows a lower and upper estimate, without a roof-condition review or a written list of work.
Do my timing or financing answers change the number?
No. The calculator asks when you hope to replace the roof and whether you are interested in financing, but those answers do not change its price calculation. They help Kodiak understand what you need if you ask for a follow-up.
Do I have to give contact details to see the estimate?

Can I use this for a flat or mixed-slope roof?
The tool has a flat-roof choice, but it does not list TPO as a material or price separate roof sections individually. If your home has a flat/TPO section or a mix of slopes, ask Kodiak to review the roof so the materials and transitions are accounted for.
Can the calculator tell me whether to repair or replace?

Does the range cover plywood or other hidden work?
The calculator cannot see wood beneath the old roofing, so do not treat its range as an itemized scope. Kodiak includes the first two plywood sheets in every written quote. Why might Kodiak's written quote differ from this range?
A closer review may find roof planes, skylights, flashing, ventilation, access limits, or materials that the calculator could not price accurately.
