Our commitment

Kodiak Shield Roofing is committed to providing a website that is accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across our public pages, quote request forms, and quiz flows so that homeowners can review information, request an estimate, and contact us using assistive technologies.

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing responsibility. We continue to review and improve keyboard support, names and labels, focus visibility, and contrast as we ship new pages and tools.

Technical measures

Current site work includes the following measures, which we maintain as part of our WCAG 2.1 Level AA target:

• Keyboard navigation: Primary navigation, forms, and quiz steps can be operated without a mouse. The mobile menu can be closed with the Escape key, keeps keyboard focus while open, and returns focus to the menu button when closed.
• Visible focus: Interactive controls use a visible focus ring so keyboard users can see where they are on the page.
• ARIA labeling: Form fields expose programmatic names, invalid states, and error messages. Multi-step quiz questions are announced, and selected options expose pressed state to assistive technology.
• Contrast and structure: Body copy, headings, and controls follow our Basalt, Parchment, and Terracotta palette with semantic headings and landmarks.

Known limitations

Some third-party map and satellite interfaces are not fully equivalent to native HTML controls. Our interactive roof estimator at /estimate uses Mapbox for address mapping and roof outline review. Parts of that map canvas, including pan, zoom, and polygon editing, may be difficult or unavailable for keyboard-only or screen-reader use.
